The modern abstract marble sculpture "Cloud" from 2026 once again lets Lukáš Řezníček "float" it on a granite base. The sculpture continues his favorite theme, this time carved from a larger piece of marble, which allowed the artist to create two openings. The marble itself measures 70 cm in height. The exterior surface has been meticulously polished, while the interior retains a rough, chiseled texture. The granite base has a highly unconventional, dynamic form, adding an intriguing and lively character to the sculpture.
This is the fifth iteration of this theme, with each Cloud a completely unique and irreplaceable original. The size and shape of the sculpture are determined by the marble itself, to which Lukáš Řezníček respectfully adapts. Finding a suitable block in the quarry for such a sculpture is not easy; sometimes it can take more than a year to obtain the ideal stone. Previous Cloud sculptures were created in 2020, 2021, 2024, 2025, and now in 2026, each only in a single, unique edition.
This work requires generous space to fully reveal its beauty and strength.
