Diana

The painting "Diana" from 1995 belongs to the artist's private gold reserve, in which he has, over decades, assembled a selection of works kept outside the market. The history of this particular piece is, however, somewhat more layered. It previously had an owner, which makes the artist's joy at its return to this exceptional personal collection all the greater.

The artist has now decided to release this work for sale. He believes that the painting "Diana" should find its unique place, a space where it will not only be preserved but also fully appreciated in its strength, elegance and timelessness.

The painting can be perceived as a loose inspiration drawn from an icon of feminine elegance, embodied by Diana, Princess of Wales. It is not a portrait, but rather a stylised interpretation of the feminine ideal, where grace, confidence and subtle fragility intertwine.

The work is signed, and on the reverse bears its title and date. Its dimensions, including the frame, are 100 × 110 cm. The painting is set in its original frame, selected by the artist as the most suitable for this subject. The frame is an integral part of the work, although it may be adjusted or replaced if necessary to better suit the character of the interior.
