Knot is a distinctive sculpture carved from Božanov sandstone, created by sculptor Dalibor Šebesta in 2009. Its dynamically interwoven forms symbolize connection, cohesion, and the relationships that shape human life. Elegant curves guide the viewer's gaze upward, giving the stone an unexpected sense of lightness and movement. The work is further enhanced by a natural patina developed over fifteen years, lending the sandstone a character that can only be achieved through the passage of time.
The sculpture is designed to be viewed primarily from the front and sides, while its rear surface is flat and bears the artist's signature. For this reason, it is best displayed against a wall, hedge, or mature greenery, which accentuates its silhouette and sculptural lines.
Knot is an example of the artist's ability to transform hard stone into a light and organic form that invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and discover their own interpretation of the symbolism hidden within its intertwined curves.
