Description
The cast iron sculpture Girl with a Ponytail, created in 2020 (cast in 2023), was inspired by Pavel Zouhar's popular series of girls from 2019. In this variation, the artist gathered the girl's hair into a ponytail, giving the figure a distinctive and graceful character. The sculpture is intended exclusively for indoor display.
The work was created using Pavel Zouhar's unique "cast iron engraving" technique. To create each one-of-a-kind original, the artist hand-carves the details into the negative sand mould before casting. This process produces unrepeatable details, particularly in the folds and decoration of the dress, making every sculpture a true original.
