Angelic II

Pavel Zouhar's monumental sculpture "Andělská II" depicts a celestial being with the most important task of all: to protect.

A unique original work by the artist and, at the same time, the largest sculpture ever created in his studio — even 20 cm taller than the renowned "Pálavský anděl lásky" ("Pálava Angel of Love"). Unlike that work, however, this time the artist did not use a real female figure as his model, instead emphasizing the angelic symbolism through the size of the wings and the gesture of the hands. Even without a human face and at larger-than-life scale, "Andělská" retains an impression of fragility and tenderness.
